Hey everyone!
Whew! What a weekend! Its that nicer time of year so that means two things for us here at Auntie Loo's: weddings and festivals! (well, maybe three- cold beers after work too!)
This weekend started off with a lovely wedding featuring earl grey and teal everything! Miss Kate whipped up one of her gorgeous all original signature pieces. The blue calla lilies really made this piece shine with its simple elegance.
Saturday night we went stag to the Rock and Roll Pizza Party Prom. It was one hell of a dance party, and we were honored to be invited to sell our cupcakes to all of the sweethearts there. Luke and Emmanuel are responsible for a lot of the fun events here in the city! Check them out at www.rrpp.ca Our favorite photographer Alyssa Iswolsky (http://crushedphotography.blogspot.com/) was in attendance capturing prom memories for all in attendance. Check out her blog for the full set!
I had to shake off my rum punch (thanks Luke!) sleepies quickly Sunday morning as it was time for the second annual Vegfest, a celebration and display of things vegan and vegetarian in the community. AS lot of work went into this by the National Capital Vegetarian Association (ncva.ca), and it really showed. One of the best organized events we've partaken in. Thanks a lot guys! We were there with our sweets and were delighted to be right beside our "business best friend" Brad Campeau, owner of B. Goods Bakery (bgoods.ca). Brad makes the best vegan cookies in town- and he always has coffee :D The festival was wonderful, we met so many new friends, caught up with some old ones and fell in love with a baby in a fedora. Thanks to all who came out and about this weekend, and a big thanks as always to Miss Kate who can make us laugh in the most stressful of times, even if its cracking up over putting a seatbelt over a showpiece cake. You are the best!
xoxo Your Auntie Loo
